# Overview
An introduction to the LazyMerch automation tool.
The LazyMerch Automation tool lets anyone upload designs and listings to print on demand marketplaces. The tool is a time-saving solution to reduce the effort for uploading and to take care of more important things.
This documentation explains everything you need to know about uploading with LazyMerch Automation.
### How the documentation is organized
LazyMerch's Automation tool has a lot of features and, as a result, a lot of documentation. The documentation is organized into the following sections:

# First Steps
Introduction on how to create an account and install the application.
Free accounts are not enabled for use via VPN or a VPS service and are restricted to one device. Furthermore, there are additional parameters that we have to consider for users and their subscriptions in order to avoid account sharing. Now that you know that, you are invited to create a free account and test our tool with 50 uploads per month for each platform.
### Create Your Account
To create your free account go to and fill out the registration form.
After you have successfully created your account, you will receive an email to activate your account. Don't forget to also check the spam folder of your email in case the mail lands there.
You can now log in and view your account on the [https://www.lazymerch.com/my-account](https://www.lazymerch.com/my-account/) page.
Now select the download section on the left to choose and download the version suitable for your device.
### Installation
#### Windows
Run the downloaded LazyMerch.msi file and let it guide you through the steps of the installer. After that, the login screen of the application will open, where you can log in with your credentials.
#### MacOS
After you run the downloaded LazyMerch.dmg file, you will be asked to move the tool to the Applications folder. You can do this by dragging and dropping the LazyMerch icon to the right in the Applications folder.
If you now try to run the tool directly from the Applications Folder, you may get a security warning from your macOS.
To bypass this security warning, right-click on the app in the Applications folder and select "open".
This will give you a security warning where you can click "Open".
After you have done that, the tool will open and has now been successfully installed on your macOS. Now you can log in.
You may wonder if this security warning is serious. We can allay your fears and assure you that it is only due to a missing certificate that signs programs and confirms that the publisher is who it claims to be. This certification would currently cause problems when we want to provide you with our program updates, which is why we didn't want to use it for the time being.

# Dashboard
Explanation of the dashboard area of the LazyMerch application.
The dashboard provides you with some helpful features to keep a better overview of your LazyMerch usage patterns and print on demand business. Currently there is a news section, statistics, help center and history page.
### News
In the news section you will be presented with news, information and important updates from LazyMerch on an ongoing basis. Furthermore, we post interesting articles and videos that are generally about the POD business and should serve you as a tutorial or source of information.
### Statistics
On the statistics page some usage statistics of you will be presented visually. So it is possible to see how much you have uploaded over a certain period of time on all or a specific platform, how long the upload takes on average and how many translation characters you have used.
### Help Center
In the Help Center you can find information about how to contact us and how to network within the LazyMerch community. There are also some FAQs that may help you with your questions or problems in advance.
### Upload
The upload option from Dashboard's navbar will bring you to your workspace where you can prepare and import the data to be uploaded to the different print on demand marketplaces. If you're interested in an instruction of the workspace, click [here](/instruction/workspace).
### History
On the History page you can see entries from your past uploads. This makes it easier for you to keep track of which designs you uploaded last and if the upload was successful.
# Workspace
First introduction to the workspace and the control panels that are used in everyday work.
After logging in, you are at the [dashboard](/instruction/dashboard) and select "Upload" in the navigation bar on the left to get to the tool's workspace. Depending on the [user interface settings](/general-settings/user-interface), it looks like this:
### Home Button
The Home button takes you back to the Dashboard. The current state of your workspace is not lost. You can also switch to the dashboard during an upload.
By clicking on the arrow icon to the right of the home button you can expand or collapse the platform navbar which is below the home button.
### Toolbar
The toolbar is located at the top of the workspace. It offers important editing functions, shows their shortcuts, opens tools, gives alternative import options or has a variety of adjustable things for the user interface.
On MacOS you can find the toolbar on the top left of your screen as soon as the workspace of the app is opened.
### Run All Button
The "Run All" button can be found to the right of the toolbar. Clicking on it starts the upload for all platforms for which the required data is available. The button also offers several options when pressing the down arrow for the dropdown options.
Run Sequenced only starts a certain number of platforms that are allowed to run simultaneously according to your [settings](/general-settings/settings#run-sequenced-limit). If the shutdown option was checked before the upload, the device is shut down after the upload.
### Settings Button
The gear icon to the right of the "Run All" button can be clicked to get to the settings of the application.
### Platform Navbar
The navbar platform shows the platforms to which you can upload and which are enabled in the view option of the toolbar. You can expand and collapse the navbar using the arrow on the home button.

If the platform navbar is collapsed you can right-click on the logos to get further options. Thus, the Play, Pause and Stop buttons can be reached by right-clicking.
The Reset Cache option resets the browser data for the platform you clicked it. This is a helpful first step for any issues you came along during the upload. You can read more about this [here](/troubleshooting/occasional-errors#cache-reset).
### Bottom Bar
The bottom bar gives you more options or information relevant to the data in the workspace, such as for importing, exporting or the number of translation characters consumed.
It has the following areas, described from left to right:
* **Cloud Synchronization Button** - requests design data for the selected platform
* **Custom Import** - opens the Import form for [customized Excel files](/helpful-features/custom-excel-import)
* **Translation Character Counter** - shows your already used translation characters and the maximum available characters which depend on your subscribed package or if you use a [DeepL API key](/helpful-features/deepl-api-key).
* **Export as CSV** - this button exports the loaded workspace data of your selected platform. This is usefull if you change something and want to save it to a file which later can be imported again.
* **Excel Templates** - the Excel Templates button brings you to the folder where the table file templates are stored. You can duplicate them and use the structure to add your designs and listings.
### Design Area
This area is the heart of the tool's upload page. It is the place where your designs, listings and upload-related data end up after imported to the tool. There you can edit or check them again before uploading.
#### Workspace Controls
The Workspace Controls are located at the top of the Design Area and have mostly functions to make it easier to handle all design data that is added or imported. The controls are described from the left to the right in the following bullet points.
* **Language Dropdown**\
This dropdown lets you choose a language to be displayed for the whole design area. This way you can change the language for all design cards at the same time.
* **Search Field**\
If you are looking for a specific design on the workspace, you can filter for it using a search term
* **Image Previewer**\
Clicking on the image icon opens the Image Previewer. This is only visible on platforms where the design conversion is available. In the Image Previewer you can preview the converted images.
* **Product Settings**\
Clicking on the shirt icon opens the Product Settings for the platform you're currently on. This is only visible on platforms which offer individual product settings for each design. For now, these platforms are MBA and Teepublic.
* **Select All Button**\
The select all button selects all the imported designs of a platform. If they are already selected, the button shows the option "Deselect All".
* **Translate**\
The first purple icon with the translation sign on it is for translating your listings. When you press this icon, all the selected Design Cards will be translated.
* **Delete**\
Clicking the trash icon removes all selected Design Cards from the Design Area.
* **Add**\
Clicking the + icon opens the import form for the selected platform. You can add further designs and listings to the workspace.
#### Design Data
By default, the workspace shows a clear representation of your imported image and listing. In our tutorials or within our community, data entries at the workspace are also named "cards" or "rows". The rows differ minimally depending on the platform.
Design cards consist of:
* **Language Labels**\
Colored labels with abbreviations representing the available or expected languages. Green means that the listing seems to be ok and can be uploaded. Yellow is a warning, which means that a listing does not meet the conditions or still needs to be translated into the expected language. Red indicates an error that prevents the upload for this marketplace.
* **Edit**\
The pencil icon to the right of the language labels opens an input interface where you can edit the listing. However, there is also an option, under View of the toolbar, where you can activate inline editing and thus adjust your data directly on the design card.
* **Duplicate**\
The icon showing two documents is for duplicating a design card.
* **Trademark Button**\
If the option to automatically trademark check your listing is enabled, you will see a colored TM button. This button indicates whether a listing is free of registered trademarks or not. Green means that nothing was found. Yellow means that something was found. Red means that an error occurred during the check or a word from your blacklist was found. A click on the TM button opens the results. You can learn more about the TM-Check [here](/helpful-features/trademark-check).
* **Status**\
The icon on the far right indicates the upload status of a design card. It shows different colors and icons depending on whether it has not yet been uploaded, is being uploaded, has been successfully uploaded, or an error occurred during upload. Clicking on it will take you to the logs for that design.
* **Listing**\
Depending on the platform for which the data was imported, you will find fields for titles, descriptions, tags, bullet points or other adjustable things on the cards. By clicking on the Expand icon at the bottom right of a card, it can be expanded to make more data visible.
# Import Forms
Explanation of Import Forms and how to open them
There are several ways how to import your data into the tool. We present all the ways here. The easiest way is to import our Excel templates or synchronize with the LazyCloud upload queue.
### Table Sheet Import
The Table Sheet Import form is the way you should use if you want to work with our Excel templates. The form can be opened in three different places:

After selecting one of the options shown above, you will see this window:
* **Upload Area**\
On top of the import form you can drag & drop your table sheet files or use the "Browse Files" button to open your file explorer and select the desired files. You can add more than one table file to the import form.
* **Remove Loaded Rows**\
If the option on the bottom left of the import form is checked, the already imported designs and listings will be removed from the workspace if you import new ones.
* **Add Manually**\
The clickable "Add Manually" text brings you to the Edit Form of the tool. With this you can manually add designs and listings.
* **Sheet Selection Dropdown**\
If your table file contains multiple sheets, you can click on the dropdown field to its right to select which sheet shall be the import source.
* **Cancel Button**\
The cancel button closes the import form and discards your loaded files.
* **Import Button**\
The import button finishes your import process and brings the data from your table files to the workspace.
### Custom Import Form
To learn more about Custom Excel Import and the settings options, click [here](/helpful-features/custom-excel-import). If you have already made your settings and created your custom Excel list, you now need a way to import the table file. To open the Custom Excel Import form, you have two options:

After selecting one of the options shown above, you will see this window:
Basically, this import form is the same as that of the normal tablet sheet import, which is explained [above](#table-sheet-import). However, the following area is slightly different.
1. **Sheet Selection Dropdown**\
If your table file contains multiple sheets, you can click on the dropdown field to select which sheet shall be the import source.
2. **Settings Template Dropdown**\
If you have created several [Custom Excel Import](/helpful-features/custom-excel-import) Settings, you can set in this dropdown field which of them should be applied.
3. **Platform Selection**\
Depending on which platforms were enabled in your settings templates, they will be displayed again here in this section. You can now decide for which platforms the data should be loaded.
# Settings
Introduces you to the general settings that apply to all or multiple platforms.
You can access the general settings via the gear icon at the top right of the workspace.
Another window opens, which shows you the settings. By default, you will see the General Settings selected on the left side of the window.
## General
### Trademark Blacklist
The Trademark Blacklist button will take you to another window where you can add words or phrases to your blacklist. This ensures that you will be warned if any of these words are in your listings.
### Default Timeout
The value for Default Timeout decides how long LazyMerch is permitted to wait to perform a step. If operational processes are not properly conducted, or do not lead to an expected result, LazyMerch will wait as long as the given value in seconds. If the problem persists, LazyMerch will trigger a timeout-error.
### Upload Timeout
Describes the maximum value of how long the upload of a file can take in seconds. This value only relates to the upload of the design. The duration can vary depending on the file size and connection. If the upload takes longer than the given value, LazyMerch will trigger a timeout error and returns to the file upload until the file is successfully uploaded and no new attempts are available.
### Unexpected Error Retries
Unexpected Error Retries how many retries the programm attempts when unexpected errors occur. This is especially useful if an unexpected pop-up appears on the website of the Print On Demand provider, or if any other errors affect the uploading process. Common sources of error are incorrect spreadsheets or illicit keywords that were used in the listing. So, if your design still does not upload, despite retries, please double check your listings.
### Disable Send Until Right Value
In the past some POD providers prohibited certain signs in the listings. That's why we integrated a setting for this in LazyMerch. The setting prevents that LazyMerch repeatedly retries to enter these signs. Once this option is enabled, potential incorrect signs will be skipped (e.g. special characters). However, as we try our best to spot sources of errors when uploading, this setting is usually not necessary to activate.
### MBA/KDP Wait For Login Pages
This value explains in seconds how long the programm should wait for the log in page on Amazon. The given default value of 3 seconds should be enough to access the login page. If you notice longer waiting times that exceed this value LazyMerch will trigger a [retry](#unexpected-error-retries).
### Run Sequenced Limit
Sets the maximum number of simultaneous upload windows allowed when using the ["Run Sequenced"](/instruction/workspace#run-all-button) startup function.
### Debug Mode
The Debug Mode aims to avoid errors and to solve them. This mode can remain deactivated until you are told by LazyMerch’s support to activate this setting.
### Bypass Path Check
If this option is enabled, validation of third-party cloud links is ignored.
### Load Card Images
Determines whether thumbnails of the files from the specified design paths should be displayed or not.
### Save State
If this option is enabled, the current state of the application will be saved before exiting the tool. Loaded rows in your workspace will be available again when re-opening the tool.
### Table View Row Height
With this option you can choose between five different sizes that determine how high the rows should be when you have activated the table view.
### Use Autosolver for Captchas
On some platforms we can have the captcha solved with a solving service. When this option is enabled, captchas are solved automatically.
### Translation Service To Use
A setting option to select the translation service for all translations in the tool or during the upload process. If you want to use your own [DeepL account](/helpful-features/deepl-api-key) for this, you have to enter the DeepL API key in the field below.
### DeepL API Key
Enter your DeepL Free or Pro Key so that the tool translates directly from your DeepL account.
## Trademarks
### Initial Check
Determines whether loaded listings are initially subjected to a TM check or not.
### Checked Classes
Under this option, you can use drop-down fields to select which Nice-Classes should be checked for which platforms.
# User Interface
Settings that can be made to change the user interface
There are some small settings how to customize the user interface of LazyMerch to your own needs or preferences.
### Dark Mode
To turn the dark mode of the tool on and off, go to the toolbar under View and check the Dark Mode on or off option.

### Table View
If you want to have it a bit clearer and don't want to have thumbnails displayed, the table view might be suitable for you. To do this, go to View in the toolbar as usual and select the Table View option.

By clicking on the columns button you can set which fields of this platform should be displayed for you. In the example below this is shown for the platform Merch By Amazon.
If you want your rows to be slightly taller or narrower in the table view, you can do this in the Settings under [Table View Row Height](/general-settings/settings#table-view-row-height).

You can change the positions, width and sorting of the columns by dragging and dropping the column labels as it is common for spreadsheet programs.

### Inline Editing
If the Inline Editing option is activated, almost every field of a row or card can be clicked and edited directly. This option is helpful if you want to quickly change something in your listing.

### Platform Navbar
You can customize the platform navbar according to your needs. Under View in the toolbar you can activate or deactivate the POD platforms relevant for you.

# Save Your Settings
Explanation how to save your settings
Sometimes it may be necessary to save your settings. For example, if you want to reinstall or transfer the settings to a new device.
The following files are relevant for you and can be found in the installation folder of LazyMerch:
* **state.json** - contains loaded rows, log message and the current app state
* **settings.json** - contains all your settings, except the product settings templates
* **database.db** - contains your import templates and trademark blacklist/whitelist
* **ProductSettings Folder** - contains your product settings templates
To save them, copy them to a different place. You can paste it back in later after you re-installed or installed on a different device.
## How to find the files and folders
### Windows
Right-Click on the LazyMerch icon and choose "Open File Path". After this the installation folder will be opened. If you struggle finding the desired files, use the explorer search bar.
### Mac
CTRL + Click the LazyMerch icon in your applications folder or on the Dock. Choose "Show Package Contents" to open the installation folder of LazyMerch.
Navigate to Contents > MacOS and look for the desired files and folders.

# Settings
Explanation of the setting options for MBA
After you have opened the [settings](/general-settings/settings) in the upload area of the tool, select MBA on the left of the Settings window.

## General
The general MBA settings refer to settings that you choose mostly once. These settings apply to all imported designs that are in the workspace when the upload process starts.
### Trademark Blacklist
This button will take you to the blacklist of MBA. It is designed to enter words that you want LazyMerch to warn you about.
### Auto Login and Relog
In the Auto Login and Relog section you can enter your login data to MBA, so that the tool can log you in automatically if you are logged out. You don't have to enter your data here and can enter it yourself in the browser when you start the upload. However, if you don't enter them, LazyMerch may not be able to continue during the upload if a relog is necessary. If you do enter them, be assured that the data is in good hands, as it will be backed up locally on your device and will not be transmitted to us or anyone else at any time.
### Remove Whitespace
The Remove Whitespace option provides the removal of transparent background around your design element. This is useful if your design element was not originally center-aligned, but you want it to be vertically and horizontally centered on MBA. Remove Whitespace can be enabled for multiple resolutions. These resolutions are based on MBA's products.

Removing the whitespace only works if you're uploading with the [LazyConverter setting](#use-lazy-converter) set to on.

### Use MBA Translation
If the MBA translating option is enabled and the only imported language is English, we will enable the MBA translation during the upload process. If you import or add listings in another language than EN, this setting will be ignored.
### Delay After Price Input
Here you can set how long the tool should wait after entering the prices to continue with the next steps.
### Publish Option
Decide how the designs shall be published. You can choose between Draft and Live.
### Use Lazy Converter
MBA can now apply a single design of virtually any resolution to all products. Previously, this was not the case, so images had to be converted to a specific resolution.
If Lazy Converter is enabled, it will use the old way and convert your design to MBA's recommended resolutions. The scaling option from your Product Settings will only be applied during conversion if the image is not in the recommended resolution for a specific product. Designs converted by LazyMerch will be adjusted to the product using the Fill option at MBA.
If this option is disabled, your specified design will be uploaded to all products, the scaling values from your Product Settings template will be applied at MBA, and then the horizontal and vertical centering on MBA will be selected.
To clarify the difference:

Make sure to import design files when using the Lazy Converter otherwise we don't know what to convert. This is important to know when it comes to an [Update](/upload/merch-by-amazon/update) process. If Lazy Converter is on, we also can remove the [whitespace](#remove-whitespace) for you.

### Truncate Too Long Text
If this option is enabled, your listings will be shortened during the upload if they are too long.
### Use JS Inputs
If this option is enabled, your input will be done via JavaScript commands. The input is no longer keystroke by keystroke but more like a copy/paste process. This makes the upload process much faster.

Be aware that this type of input no longer imitates a real user. It is an option to optimize the upload speed. In theory, the risk of the automation being detected is higher.

## Template
The Template Settings are used to create templates that should cover your needs in terms of activated products, marketplaces, colors and scaling values. These templates can later be applied to your designs. Helpful steps in assigning and handling templates might be the Product Settings icon from the [Design Area](/instruction/workspace#design-area) or the [Export](/helpful-features/export) functionality.
### Select Template
To be able to manage and edit the existing template settings, it needs this area:
* **Template Dropdown** - choose from existing template settings
* **Add Icon** - create new templates by clicking on the + icon. When creating new templates you can also copy the settings from existing templates
* **Edit** - edit the name of the selected template setting
* **Delete** - delete the selected template

The first template in your list is called "Default" by default. These template settings serve as a fallback source of information if you load incomplete data into the tool. You should therefore edit the default template once according to your wishes.

### Product Settings
The Product Settings are the core of your templates. From this area comes all the information regarding selected products, marketplaces, prices, colors and scaling values.
Next to the product name there is an icon showing an arrow pointing to the right. When you click it, the product line expands and you can choose settings for this product. In the following you can see this for the standard t-shirt.
Product Settings
Now you can select the desired settings for all your products or activate and deactivate them for marketplaces using the checkboxes in the table.

A scaling value of 0 causes LazyMerch to take the default value suggested by MBA. Values from 1-100 will be set at the scale slider on MBA.

# Preparation
Different ways how your listing comes into the tool
Without listing, no successful upload. Each platform has different requirements and needs. On this page we will show you how to make sure that your data and listings get into the tool reliably.
With MBA we have to distinguish between an upload or an update process. While not all data has to be filled during the update, the data that can be imported is the same as the data imported for the upcoming upload process. Therefore, the explanations of the import options apply to both processes.
## Cloud
The way we want to encourage you the most is to prepare your listings in our LazyCloud. Not only that you can write the listings there much easier and prepare them for upload, but also because you can edit them there better afterwards. More information about the LazyCloud can be found here and the documentation of the cloud, where this preparation process is described, can be found here.

## Spreadsheet
To prepare your data with tables, you need our table file templates. You can find them by clicking on the Excel Templates button in the lower right corner of the tool's workspace.
This button will take you to the folder where you can find the templates. In it you will find two templates for MBA. MBA.xlsx and MBA\_Old.xlsx are available here. MBA\_Old.xlsx can still be used, as we are constantly striving to ensure that old templates can also be imported. For the update process this is still the best template, because Productor generates a file in this format.

Do not modify these template files, but copy them to another path and start editing there. This folder in the LazyMerch installation directory should remain untouched, so that none of your important data is lost during an update.

### MBA.xlsx (recommended)
As mentioned above, the most recent spreadsheet is best for preparing data for upload. In the following the individual fields, whose filling is necessary for it, are explained.
#### **Design Path**
This column is designed to get the paths to your designs. Get the path to one or more designs and paste it here. Paths also include links to a cloud service where your designs are stored. However, make sure that the link goes directly to the image file without requiring authentication.

On windows there is an easy way to fill in your spreadsheet with the data path of your designs. Simply select the design you would like to upload first while holding shift and right click.
Afterwards, select “copy as path” to safe the files to the clipboard. You can now hold CTRL+V to transfer them to your spreadsheet in the column “DesignPath”.

#### **Lazy Template**
Under LazyTemplate you enter the name of your Product Settings Template. This ensures that the design in the relevant line is imported with all the important information. If you have created templates for several needs, for example one for light designs and one for dark ones, you can easily vary the template names per line.

If the specified name does not exist or has a typo in it, the default template will be selected.

#### **Fit Type**
In the Fit Types column, you specify which target group the garments are for. There are three different fit types, which can be named individually or several of them separated by commas:
* Men
* Women
* Youth

#### **Preferred Language for Translation**
Let's say you would import your listing in multiple languages, but there are other languages that need to be translated for. In this column you indicate which language is preferred as the source for your translations. If you deliver your listing in EN/DE and DE is mentioned in this field, the translation will be done from the German listing into the remaining languages like FR, IT, ES, JP.
#### **Title**
Give us a catchy title for your design. But remember, it's best to leave out product names, such as T-shirt. As it stands now, Amazon doesn't want that or automatically adds it to the end of your title.

#### **Update ID**
The Update ID column can be filled with IDs to your existing designs on MBA. These are needed to update a design and add new products for example.
#### Custom Args
The custom args are used to be able to select further specifics of the upload. The following input options are currently available for selection:
* **back** - upload your design on the back of every product where this is possible.
* **back\_productName** - the design will be placed on the back of one specific product. You have to write the product name lower case and replace all the spaces with dashes " - ". For example: back\_standard-t-shirt
* **template** - use the presets that you have saved on MBA as a template.
### MBA\_Old.xlsx
Although this spreadsheet is somewhat outdated, it can still be used. This may be necessary for the update process or if users have very special use cases that require this old format.

# Upload
Steps to start the upload
On this page we clarify some steps you should follow before your upload.
## Import
After you have made your [settings](/upload/merch-by-amazon/settings) and [preparations](/upload/merch-by-amazon/preparation), you can now start getting your data from the cloud or your spreadsheet into the tool. Therefore use the [Cloud Synchronization Button](/instruction/workspace#bottom-bar) or one of the [Import Forms](/instruction/import-forms).
After you have successfully imported your data into the tool, it will look something like this, depending on your [user interface settings](/general-settings/user-interface):
### Transfer Rules of the Product Settings
When you're importing with Spreadsheets, there's a lot to consider when it comes to choosing products, marketplaces, colors, and scaling options. Depending on which [spreadsheet files](/upload/merch-by-amazon/preparation) you use, there are different rules.
#### MBA.xlsx
If you use the [MBA.xlsx](#mba.xlsx) file, there is not much to consider. In it you specify the template name that you created in the [settings](/upload/merch-by-amazon/settings#template). If it is specified correctly, it will be selected during the import. Otherwise the Default template is selected, which is usually also called Default in your settings and is the first template in the list.
#### MBA\_Old.xlsx
For some use cases it can be helpful to use the [MBA\_Old.xlsx](https://automation-docs.lazymerch.com/upload/merch-by-amazon/pages/bF3RlsdVC4dxfs4MIWoF#mba_old.xlsx) spreadsheet. However, since not all relevant information for the product settings can be transmitted with it, there have to be rules to assign you the product settings within the tool. To be exact, it's all about your Product Types, Colors and Market specifications. If you import with information from:
* *Product Types, Colors, Market*\
We create a custom template in the tool, which contains the information from your specifications and take the missing information, such as scaling values and hex colors, from your default template.
* *Product Types, Colors*\
We could only guess for which markets you want to publish your given product types and colors. Therefore, the default template will be applied.
* *Product Types, Market*\
We create a custom template in the tool, which contains the information from your specifications and take all the colors, scaling values and hex colors of your given product types form the default template.
* *Product Types*\
The default template will be applied because only importing products isn't enough information to build custom templates.
* *Colors, Market*\
We create a custom template in the tool, which contains the information from your specifications and activate all the products that are activated on your given markets from the default template.
* *Colors*\
The default template will be applied because only importing colors isn't enough information to build custom templates.
* *Market*\
We create a custom template in the tool, which contains the information from your specifications and activate all the products and colors that are activated on your given markets from the default template.
* *None of the three was present*\
If you imported no information regarding product types, colors or market, we assume that you want your default template to be applied.
## Check
Before you can upload, you should make sure that all data has been imported correctly. For MBA you should pay attention to the listing and the product settings.
### Listing
Expand your Row and check if your listing was imported correctly.
In our example everything was imported successfully. As you can see the language labels tell us that something is warning us at FR. Let's hover and see what it tells us.
It tells us that the given listing for FR is not available or not in the expected language for the french marketplace. Translating from one of our existing listings will do the trick, which will be shown in the next step.

Yellow warnings do not stop you from starting the upload. The tool can also translate during the upload process. However, we recommend to perform all possible steps in the tool.

### Translation
If you want to translate before uploading, you can do this for each row individually by right-clicking on a row and selecting Translate, or if you want to translate all rows at once, you can click Select All in the Workspace Controls and then the Translation icon.
It has now been translated into FR and there is no warning anymore.
### Product Settings
One of the most important checks you should do before uploading is to check if your specified template was assigned correctly, a proper custom template was created from the information of an old spreadsheet or if the settings from LazyCloud were transferred properly to the cloud template created in the tool.
To do this, we call up the Platform Product Settings via the [Shirt icon](/instruction/workspace#workspace-controls) and see the product table for each row in the workspace in the window that opens.
On the left we see the title and filename of the loaded listings in the workspace. Selected is the first design from the list, which has been assigned a custom template. Since our table file for testing was still an outdated MBA\_Old.xlsx file, a Custom Product Setting was created as expected.
If you are not satisfied with what has been assigned, you can now change it here. Either you make individual settings, such as selecting or deselecting products, or you click on the Select Template dropdown field and select a different Product Settings template.

A custom template is just a temporarily created template. It is not saved in your template settings and changes to the custom template only affect the selected design.

### Image Conversion
If your [LazyConverter](/upload/merch-by-amazon/settings#use-lazy-converter) setting is turned on and you want us to convert your images to the recommended format, check again if you want [whitespaces](/upload/merch-by-amazon/settings#remove-whitespace) removed and how the results look in our [Image Preview](/helpful-features/image-conversion).
### Trademarks
If you want to check your trademarks in LazyMerch, it is recommended to do it after the translation. If you have activated the Initial Check, the TM button will already show you by color if the entries you imported contain trademarks or not. Furthermore, you should have checked if your trademark settings show the Nice classes you want.

## Start
After you have conscientiously completed all the previous steps, the next step is the launch. You have the following options:
#### Upload a single or all selected designs
To upload a single design or several selected ones, select the desired quantity and right-click on one of the selected designs. In the right click options select "Upload selected".
#### Start upload for MBA only
To start the upload for one platform only, in our case MBA, you can right-click on MBA in the collapsed platform navigation bar and select the Play button to start.
Or if the Platform Navigation Bar is expanded, you can reach the Play button without right-clicking.
#### Start by Running All
If you click the Run All button at the top right of the workspace, all platforms in which you have loaded listings will start. There is also a [Run Sequenced](/instruction/workspace#run-all-button) option that allows you to control how many platforms can run at the same time.
# Update
Steps to start the update process
On this page we clarify some steps you should follow before your update process for MBA.
## Export
In order to update your existing listings to MBA, you need the update IDs. You can export them best with the [Chrome Plugin Productor](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/productor-for-merch-by-am/almiakmbepejhcjnfhhjkcfabeepefno?hl=de).
Once the Productor is active in your Chrome browser, visit MBA. On the page you should now be able to find the following navigation bar:
Go to "Products" and filter the table for the designs you want to update. Then select the designs you want to export and click on "Export Selected" above the table on the right.
The Export Selected dropdown gives you some options for the export to LazyMerch when scrolling down. You can choose an export with designs but LazyMerch doesn't necessarily need them to update your listings. Exporting without designs will be enough in the most cases and the least time consuming method.
After you clicked on the desired export method, Productor will generate a spreadsheet for you and automatically starts the download for you.
If you go to your download folder and open the spreadsheet, you'll notice that it looks like our [MBA\_Old.xlsx](https://automation-docs.lazymerch.com/upload/merch-by-amazon/pages/bF3RlsdVC4dxfs4MIWoF#mba_old.xlsx) spreadsheet. Keep that in mind when it comes to importing the file.
### Edit Your Data
Maybe you want to update a listing, add a product or just change the prices. In principle, everything is possible, as our update process only requires the update IDs at the end of your spreadsheet and an info about which products should be activated on which marketplaces.

If you chose the export method without designs you should remove the path entries in the first column of the exported spreadsheet.

If you want whitespaces to be removed and products to be converted to the optimal format for products to be activated, you should use [LazyConverter](/upload/merch-by-amazon/settings#use-lazy-converter). For this you need to specify a file path and therefore you should also let the Productor export the designs.

**Assign a Product Settings Template (recommended)**
Probably the easiest method to add multiple products in one go is to assign a Product Settings template. You have previously prepared this in the [settings](/upload/merch-by-amazon/settings#template).
Since Productor cannot know about your Product Settings templates, the exported file is in the form of the MBA\_Old.xlsx spreadsheet.
We can work around this by importing the file now and exporting it again. When exporting, a .csv file is created in the form of the current and recommended [MBA.xlsx](https://automation-docs.lazymerch.com/upload/merch-by-amazon/pages/bF3RlsdVC4dxfs4MIWoF#mba.xlsx-recommended).
In the new spreadsheet you can now replace the "Custom" template name with the name of the Product Settings template you want to use.
You then save that and import it back into the tool.
#### Use the MBA\_Old.xlsx format to add products
As described here you can add product names, marketplaces and colors to your spreadsheet. However, note the [transfer rules for the product settings](/upload/merch-by-amazon/upload#transfer-rules-of-the-product-settings) when you import the file.
## Start Updating
After you have exported your data as desired and edited it, you can follow the same steps as in the upload process. [Import](/upload/merch-by-amazon/upload#import) your files, [check](/upload/merch-by-amazon/upload#check) if everything was loaded into the tool as expected and [start](/upload/merch-by-amazon/upload#start) the update process.
# Kindle Direct Publishing
Everything you need to know about uploading to Kindle Direct Publishing
If you want to upload to Kindle Direct Publishing, we'll give you an overview of what you need to consider here.

Do not upload more than 1000 books per week or KDP will suspend your account. Currently there is no exact limit in their [guidelines](https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/G201857950), but it is 1000/week, which is mentioned by mail along with the suspension notice.

# Settings
Explanation of the setting options for KDP
After you have opened the [settings](/general-settings/settings) in the upload area of the tool, select KDP on the left of the Settings window.

### Trademark Blacklist
This button will take you to the blacklist of KDP. It is designed to enter words that you want LazyMerch to warn you about. If you want to learn more about the blacklist, click here.
### Interior And Paper Type
in this dropdown field you can choose which interior your book should have. You can choose from:
* Black & White Interior (with cream paper)
* Black & White Interior (with white paper)
* Standard Color Interior (with white paper)
* Color Interior (with white paper)
### Trim Size
In this drop-down box you can select the Trim Size. Here you have all the default formats of KDP available, but further down in the settings you will also find an option to choose a custom trim size.
### Bleed Settings
Here you decide if your book should have bleed or no bleed.
### Paperback Cover Finish
With this option, you can set whether the cover should be matte or glossy.
### Custom Size
If the trim sizes offered by KDP are not enough, you can also create a custom trim size. To do this, activate this option in the settings and specify how many inches the height and width of your book should be.
### Auto Login and Relog
In the Auto Login and Relog section you can enter your login data to KDP, so that the tool can log you in automatically if you are logged out. You don't have to enter your data here and can enter it yourself in the browser when you start the upload. However, if you don't enter them, LazyMerch may not be able to continue during the upload if a relog is necessary. If you do enter them, be assured that the data is in good hands, as it will be backed up locally on your device and will not be transmitted to us or anyone else at any time.
### Prices
KDP automatically determines the standard prices for the secondary markets based on the price quotation of the primary market. Therefore, you have the option to “Enable Manual Price”, to be able to individually customize the prices for the secondary markets. To do so, enable the setting with “yes” and enter the desired prices at the underneath listed Amazon marketplaces.
### Autoconverter
Our KDP Autoconverter will automatically convert your image files to a book cover. It will pack your image onto the front cover, set a background color and write the title on the spine.
* **Cover Background** - with this colorpicker you can choose the color for the background of your generated cover.
* **Font** - select a font for your title.
* **Font Color** - choose which font color will be used for the title on the spine
* **No Title on Spine** - if this option is enabled, the title won't be written on the spine of the book.
* **Remove Whitespace from Source Image** - if enabled the whitespace of your file will be removed and the cover will show as much of your design element as possible on the front page of the cover.
### Enable Low Content Checkbox
If this option is enabled, the tool will select the upload for a low content book, with which no ISBN will be obtained.

KDP sees Low Content books as repetitive content to be filled by the buyer, something like diaries, notebooks, calendars or similar. On the other hand, books such as puzzle books or coloring books are considered content books as long as they have distinct pages.

### Preview Timeout
This value determines in seconds, how long LazyMerch should wait for the book preview. If the value is exceeded, the upload process for the book will be repeated. It will take into account the “Unexpected Error Retries” settings from the general settings.
### Tag Seperator
Here you can enter the sign, which you use in the upload spreadsheet to separate tags. The settings and the symbol in the spreadsheet need to match so that LazyMerch can enter the tags correctly. We recommend using a semicolon, as we have the best experience with this when dealing with KDP's tag names.
### Use HTML Mode for Description
If you plan to use HTML tags in your description to format it, you should enable this option. LazyMerch will then insert the description as HTML code and not in the text editor, which might interpret HTML tags differently.
### Uppercase Every Word in Subtitle
If enabled, this option will uppercase the first letter of each word in your subtitle.
### Publishing Rights
Here you can set if the book you're publishing lies under public domain or that you have the necessary publishing right.
### Tabs
Specify how many tabs to open within a browser window when uploading to KDP. In each of these tabs an upload takes place and the tool uses waiting times of one tab to execute the steps in the other tabs in the meantime.

Be aware that KDP has unofficial upload limits. If you publish too many books in an hour, a day or a week you may get an error message and none of your uploads will go through anymore. In that case it is recommended to lower the tabs and threads.

### Expanded Distribution
If this option is activated, LazyMerch will publish your books with expanded distribution so other sellers can sell your products as well and you receive royalties for them.
### Translate Title
If Translate Title is activated, your book title will be translated into the target market's language. Since Amazon expects the title to be exactly what you can read on the book cover, we do not recommend having it translated automatically. This might only be useful in some special cases.
### Uppercase Every Word in Title
If enabled, this option will uppercase the first letter of each word in your title.
### Threads
Specify how many threads to open when uploading to KDP. Each thread will open a browser window. Thus, if this is set to 2, you'll have two browser windows opened in which there are as many tabs as you set above in the [Tabs](#tabs) option.\
Assuming you have 4 tabs and 2 threads set, the tool would be working on uploading 8 books at a time, where the wait for the cover preview is filled with work steps of processes that aren't currently waiting.

The way how your listing comes into the tool
Without listing, no successful upload. Each platform has different requirements and needs. On this page we will show you how to make sure that your data and listings get into the tool reliably.

### Cover File Path
This serves the input of the design path for the cover. You can enter your own cover as a PDF file here or an image file and LazyMerch will automatically convert it to a cover for KDP for you.
### Input Language
Under Input Language you can specify the language your listing is written in. This is important for the tool to be able to estimate if translation is needed for your primary market where the book will be uploaded.
### Language
This is the language which will be used for KDP. If you decide to fill in “German”, KDP notes that it is a German book, no matter what the primary market is. In the column you can also type in multiple languages. Make sure you separate them with a comma ( , ), for example “German, English”. LazyMerch will then take into account the “Input Language” and the translation for the second language. To give you an example of this:

By this example above you're telling the tool that you wrote a German listing and you want to publish your book on amazon.com as German book and as an English book as well. What LazyMerch will do is, that it uploads your German listing and then start another upload with the same book but this time with a translated listing.
### Primary Marketplace
Here you can select which Amazon marketplace should be the primary market and where your book shall be uploaded to.
### Title
This column is meant to be filled with the title of your book. Be aware that Amazon expects you to only write in the title what stands on your book.

In subtitle you can specify your subtitle for the book.
### Series Name
This column is for your series name. The field is optional on KDP.

This column is for your series number. The field is optional on KDP.
### Prefix
If the author publishing this book has a prefix in their name, you can fill it in here.
### First Name
If the author publishing this book has a first name, you can fill it in here.
### Middle Name
If the author publishing this book has a middle name, you can fill it in here.
### Last Name
If the author publishing this book has a last name, you can fill it in here.
### Suffix
If the author publishing this book has a suffix in their name, you can fill it in here.
### Description
In the Description column you can add the description for your book. You can use HTML tags to make your description more attractive. Make sure you follow the [supported HTML](https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/G201189630#html) tags and check the [option](/upload/kindle-direct-publishing/settings#use-html-mode-for-description) provided before in LazyMerch to get the best possible result.
### Tags
KDP offers you the possibility to fill seven fields with 50 characters each. In the column provided by us, you can enter your tags and distribute six commas to reflect the seven fields.
### Category
Here you can type in up to two categories for be the book. Both categories should be separated with a semicolon ( ; ) or whatever you set as [delimiter](/upload/kindle-direct-publishing/settings#tag-seperator). For example, if you would like to publish a health book, the column could look like this: Nonfiction/Health & Fitness/Healing; Nonfiction/Health & Fitness/General.

Because customers rarely come across a book while browsing categories, but rather specifically using a search term via the search bar, there is a widespread belief that categories can be dispensed with and "Non-Classifiable" should be selected.

### Adult Content
Here you can select if the paperback is for adults. “0” means NO, “1” stands for YES.
### Price
Here you can select the price for the Primary Market. If you leave this cell blank, the price you selected in your settings will be used here.
### Territories
Here you can enter the different Amazon marketplaces on which the paperback should be available, separated by a comma ( , ). If you wish to make the paperback available on all available marketplaces, leave this cell blank.
### Converter Font Color
If you need an individual text color for the lettering on the cover of each book, you can specify a Hex Color value here. If you leave this field empty, the color you have chosen in the [settings](/upload/kindle-direct-publishing/settings#autoconverter) will be used.
### Converter Background Color
If you need an individual background color for the cover of each book, you can specify a Hex Color value here. If you leave this field empty, the color you have chosen in the [settings](/upload/kindle-direct-publishing/settings#autoconverter) will be used.
# Upload
Steps to start the upload for KDP
On this page we clarify some steps you should follow before your upload.

Do not upload more than 1000 books per week or KDP will suspend your account. Currently there is no exact limit in their [guidelines](https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/G201857950), but it is 1000/week, which is mentioned by mail along with the suspension notice.

## Import
After you have made your [settings](/upload/kindle-direct-publishing/settings) and [preparations](/upload/kindle-direct-publishing/preparation), you can now start getting your data from your spreadsheet into the tool. Therefore use the [Import Forms](https://app.gitbook.com/s/VFJ5iMQ0u4gytJO7pufM/instruction/import-forms).
After you have successfully imported your data into the tool, it will look something like this, depending on your [user interface settings](https://app.gitbook.com/s/VFJ5iMQ0u4gytJO7pufM/general-settings/user-interface):
## Check
Before you can upload, you should make sure that all data has been imported correctly. For KDP you should pay attention to the listing and cover creation.
### Listing
Expand your Row and check if your listing was imported correctly.
In our example everything was imported successfully. As you can see the language labels tell us that something is warning us at DE. Let's hover and see what it tells us.
It tells us that the given listing for DE is not available or not in the expected language for the German marketplace. You can translate it in LazyMerch or let it translate during the upload process.

Yellow warnings do not stop you from starting the upload. The tool can also translate during the upload process. However, we recommend to perform all possible steps in the tool.

### Translation
If you want to translate before uploading, you can do this for each row individually by right-clicking on a row and selecting Translate, or if you want to translate all rows at once, you can click Select All in the Workspace Controls and then the Translation icon.
It has now been translated into DE and there is no warning anymore.
### Cover Creation
To check if your cover is generated correctly with the settings you have chosen, open the Image Conversion Preview. Click on the image icon in the upper right corner.
This will open the following window:
On the left we see the title and filename of the loaded listings in the workspace. Selected is the first design from the list. On top left of the window you can see the platform tabs. Make sure KDP is selected. On top right you can find a Save button to save the converted cover to your device.
What will be displayed to you within this window is pretty close to what your converted cover will look like when uploading.

We messed up the settings for our example here. The Cover doesn't look quite good. What a great reminder to always check your settings, so it doesn't look as bad as our screenshot here :smile:

### Trademarks
If you want to check your trademarks in LazyMerch, it is recommended to do it after the translation. If you have activated the Initial Check, the TM button will already show you by color if the entries you imported contain trademarks or not. Furthermore, you should have checked if your trademark settings show the Nice classes you want.

## Start
After you have conscientiously completed all the previous steps, the next step is the launch. You have the following options:
#### Upload a single or all selected designs
To upload a single design or several selected ones, select the desired quantity and right-click on one of the selected designs. In the right click options select "Upload selected".
#### Start upload for KDP only
To start the upload for one platform only, in our case MBA, you can right-click on MBA in the collapsed platform navigation bar and select the Play button to start.

#### Start by Running All

# Settings
Explanation of the setting options for RedBubble
After you have opened the [settings](/general-settings/settings) in the upload area of the tool, select RedBubble on the left of the Settings window.
### Product Settings
When you click on the Product Settings button, a window will open showing you RedBubble's products. You can activate them, deactivate them, set a size and a repeat pattern.

### Trademark Blacklist
This button will take you to the blacklist of RedBubble. It is designed to enter words that you want LazyMerch to warn you about. If you want to learn more about the blacklist, click here.
### Genre
Decide which genres on RedBubble should be chosen for your design.
### Publish As Private
If activated, your design will be published as a private listing and won't be available on the marketplace.
### Default View
In this dropdown field you can define how the design should be displayed on the marketplace.
### Submit Timeout
Time (in seconds) that may elapse during the submission of the design until the tool recognizes a timeout error.
### Orientation
Specify whether your design should be centered vertically and horizontally on the products.

In RB Copy Upload these options are ignored and keep the position of your template.

### Product Selection Delays
In this section you can select the minimum and maximum value in milliseconds for the delay of the product selection. LazyMerch calculates a random value between the two bounds and selects products with a suitable pace. This helps to make any interaction with the website look as natural as possible (manually controlled).
### Other Selection Delays
Here you can select the minimum and the maximum value in milliseconds for the delay of any other selection steps beside the product selection.
### Language
Redbubble's marketplace is accessible worldwide, but you can publish your listing in four different languages. In this section you choose in which languages LazyMerch should post your listing on RedBubble. You can import the listing for these languages into the tool yourself or let the tool translate from one of your preferred languages into the others. You can choose between:
* German
* English
* French
* Spanish
# Preparation
Different ways how your listing comes into the tool
Without listing, no successful upload. Each platform has different requirements and needs. On this page we will show you how to make sure that your data and listings get into the tool reliably.
With RedBubble we have to distinguish between the Copy or Classic upload process. Although the required data for both processes are relatively the same, they and the table templates at hand differ a bit. The Copy Upload process uses a product you have created on Redbubble and copies its settings for the new uploads. In Classic Upload, each product and setting is selected individually.

We recommend the Copy Upload because it's faster and more reliable. Thus, preparing the listings by cloud or copy spreadsheets is the best way to get things done.

## Cloud
The way we want to encourage you the most is to prepare your listings in our LazyCloud. Not only that you can write the listings there much easier and prepare them for upload, but also because you can edit them there better afterwards. ## Spreadsheet
To prepare your data with tables, you need our table file templates. You can find them by clicking on the Excel Templates button in the lower right corner of the tool's workspace.
This button will take you to the folder where you can find the templates. In it you will find four templates for RedBubble. RedBubbleCopy.xlsx, RedBubbleCopyMulit.xlsx, RedBubbleTemplate.xlsx and RedBubbleTemplate\_Multi.xlsx can be found here. The ones with "Copy" in their names are for the Copy Upload we recommend. The others are for the Classic Upload.

In Product to Copy you can enter the URL to your duplicate product on RedBubble. Make sure you don't use the link to the product itself, but the link that appears when you click "Copy". Otherwise, you can also enter the title of the design in this column. This will be used to search for your entry. Therefore, it should also be unique, so that there is no confusion.
### RedBubbleCopy\_Multi.xlsx
In general, we can say that this spreadsheet is not much different from the previous one. Only the layout is different and there are more Title, Description and Tag columns to enter for other languages.

We recommend using this spreadsheet because it offers a lot flexibility if you're bilingual or need to write your listing in multiple languages anyways. Beside that, this is the spreadsheet we give you if you want to export your data.

# Settings
Explanation of the setting options for Spreadshirt
After you have opened the [settings](/general-settings/settings) in the upload area of the tool, select Spreadshirt on the left of the Settings window.
### Trademark Blacklist
This button will take you to the blacklist of Spreadshirt. It is designed to enter words that you want LazyMerch to warn you about. If you want to learn more about the blacklist, click here.
### Keystroke Delay
This value shows by how many milliseconds the keystrokes must be deferred. This affects all necessary textual inputs, such as the title, description and the tags. The lower the value, the quicker the input.
### Remove Forbidden Tags
This setting decides, whether the tags which Spreadshirt does not accept should be removed or not. It can happen that such tags are repeatedly found in listings or that they are unexpectedly declined. Therefore, we suggest that you activate this setting by choosing “yes”.

These forbidden words can also appear in the title or description. We cannot remove them there, so as not to destroy your listing and unknowingly expose you to trademark infringements. If you find such words, it is best to add them to your blacklist so you will be warned for your next uploads.

### Delay After Template Selection
Here you can set the time that passes after the product template selection step on Spreadshirt. If the value is too low it may cause the template to not be loaded correctly.
### Adjustment Option
This option refers to the adjustment option on Spreadshirt where you have to decide whether your design shall be appear optimized on the products or original.
### Enable Automatic Translation
If activated, the listing will be translated to different languages by Spreadshirt.

# Upload
Steps to start the upload for Spreadshirt
On this page we clarify some steps you should follow before your upload.
## Import
After you have made your [settings](/upload/spreadshirt/settings) and [preparations](/upload/spreadshirt/preparation), you can now start getting your data from your spreadsheet into the tool. Therefore use the [Import Forms](https://app.gitbook.com/s/VFJ5iMQ0u4gytJO7pufM/instruction/import-forms).
After you have successfully imported your data into the tool, it will look something like this, depending on your [user interface settings](https://app.gitbook.com/s/VFJ5iMQ0u4gytJO7pufM/general-settings/user-interface):
## Check
Before you can upload, you should make sure that all data has been imported correctly.
### Listing
Expand your Row and check if your listing was imported correctly.
In our example everything was imported successfully. If the language labels weren't green you could hover them to see what's wrong. Mostly this will tell you that a translation might be necessary.

Yellow warnings do not stop you from starting the upload. The tool can also translate during the upload process. However, we recommend to perform all possible steps in the tool.

### Translation
If you want to translate before uploading, you can do this for each row individually by right-clicking on a row and selecting Translate, or if you want to translate all rows at once, you can click Select All in the Workspace Controls and then the Translation icon.
### Trademarks
If you want to check your trademarks in LazyMerch, it is recommended to do it after the translation. If you have activated the Initial Check, the TM button will already show you by color if the entries you imported contain trademarks or not. Furthermore, you should have checked if your trademark settings show the Nice classes you want.

## Start
After you have conscientiously completed all the previous steps, the next step is the launch. You have the following options:
#### Upload a single or all selected designs
To upload a single design or several selected ones, select the desired quantity and right-click on one of the selected designs. In the right click options select "Upload selected".
#### Start upload for Spreadshirt only
To start the upload for one platform only, in our case MBA, you can right-click on MBA in the collapsed platform navigation bar and select the Play button to start.

#### Start by Running All
If you click the Run All button at the top right of the workspace, all platforms in which you have loaded listings will start. There is also a [Run Sequenced](/instruction/workspace#run-all-button) option that allows you to control how many platforms can run at the same time.

# Settings
Explanation of the setting options for Teepublic
After you have opened the [settings](/general-settings/settings) in the upload area of the tool, select Teepublic on the left of the Settings window.

## General
The general Teepublic settings refer to settings that you choose mostly once. These settings apply to all imported designs that are in the workspace when the upload process starts.
### Trademark Blacklist
This button will take you to the blacklist of Teepublic. It is designed to enter words that you want LazyMerch to warn you about. If you want to learn more about the blacklist, click here.
### Center Vertically
Decide if the design shall be centered vertically on the products or not.
### Center Horizontally
Decide if the design shall be centered horizontally on the products or not.
### Minimum Delay
Here you can set a minimum delay value in milliseconds. Between the minimum value and maximum value, a random delay is chosen at each step to make the input look more human.
### Maximum Delay
Here you can set a maximum delay value in milliseconds. Between the minimum value and maximum value, a random delay is chosen at each step to make the input look more human.
## Template
### Select Template
To be able to manage and edit the existing template settings, it needs this area:
* **Template Dropdown** - choose from existing template settings
* **Add Icon** - create new templates by clicking on the + icon. When creating new templates you can also copy the settings from existing templates
* **Edit** - edit the name of the selected template setting
* **Delete** - delete the selected template

The first template in your list is called "Default" by default. These template settings serve as a fallback source of information if you load incomplete data into the tool. You should therefore edit the default template once according to your wishes.

### Product Settings
The Product Settings are the core of your templates. From this area comes all the information regarding selected products, colors and scaling values.
As you can see in the screenshot above, you can set whether the products are activated or not via the on and off button. For the apparel items, similar to Teepublic itself, there are these dropdown fields to select the color for the display color.
In addition to the apparel items, there is a color picker for the rest of the products and fields to enter scaling values.
At the bottom of the Product Settings for Teepublic you will find a setting option for the scaling of the apparel items as well as the general color selection, where you can choose with which colors your products should be offered on the marketplace.
# Preparation
Different ways how your listing comes into the tool
Without listing, no successful upload. Each platform has different requirements and needs. On this page we will show you how to make sure that your data and listings get into the tool reliably.
## Cloud
The way we want to encourage you the most is to prepare your listings in our LazyCloud. Not only that you can write the listings there much easier and prepare them for upload, but also because you can edit them there better afterwards. More information about the LazyCloud can be found here and the documentation of the cloud, where this preparation process is described, can be found here.

## Spreadsheet
To prepare your data with tables, you need our table file templates. You can find them by clicking on the Excel Templates button in the lower right corner of the tool's workspace.
This button will take you to the folder where you can find the templates. In it you will find two templates for Teepublic. Teepublic.xlsx and Teepublic\_Old.xlsx can be found here. Although both files work when it comes to importing your listings, we recommend using the latest one.

Do not modify these template files, but copy them to another path and start editing there. This folder in the LazyMerch installation directory should remain untouched, so that none of your important data is lost during an update.

### Teepublic.xlsx
#### Design Path
This column is designed to get the paths to your designs. Get the path to one or more designs and paste it here. Paths also include links to a cloud service where your designs are stored. However, make sure that the link goes directly to the image file without requiring authentication.

On windows there is an easy way to fill in your spreadsheet with the data path of your designs. Simply select the design you would like to upload first while holding shift and right click.
Afterwards, select “copy as path” to safe the files to the clipboard. You can now hold CTRL+V to transfer them to your spreadsheet in the column “DesignPath”.

#### Lazy Template
Under LazyTemplate you enter the name of your Product Settings Template. This ensures that the design in the relevant line is imported with all the important information. If you have created templates for several needs, for example one for light designs and one for dark ones, you can easily vary the template names per line.

If the specified name does not exist or has a typo in it, the default template will be selected.

#### Input Language
Under Input Language you can specify the language your listing is written in. This is important for the tool to be able to estimate if translation is needed for your chosen marketplace.
#### Title
Give us a catchy title for your design. The title is a necessary input.
#### Description
In the Description column you can insert your description. It's another great opportunity to use keywords related to your design's niche.
#### Main Tag
Here you can type in one Keyword, whether if it's a longtail keyword or not, to serve as main tag. Teepublic might change it to a similiar tag they recommend after your input.
#### Tags
Under “Tags” you can type in keywords that describe your design. Please make sure, that you always use a comma ( , ) in between each keyword.
#### Adults Only

### Transfer Rules of the Product Settings
When you're importing with Spreadsheets, there's a lot to consider when it comes to choosing Color and Hex Color. Depending on which spreadsheet files you use, there are different rules.
#### Teepublic.xlsx
If you use the [Teepublic.xlsx](https://automation-docs.lazymerch.com/upload/teepublic/pages/z3HPo6z9btdqFn6hQUPj#teepublic.xlsx) file, there is not much to consider. In it you specify the template name that you created in the [settings](/upload/teepublic/settings). If it is specified correctly, it will be selected during the import. Otherwise the Default template is selected, which is usually also called Default in your settings and is the first template in the list.
#### Teepublic\_Old.xlsx
Since not all relevant information for the product settings can be transmitted with [Teepublic\_Old.xlsx](https://automation-docs.lazymerch.com/upload/teepublic/pages/z3HPo6z9btdqFn6hQUPj#teepublic_old.xlsx), there have to be rules to assign you the product settings within the tool. To be exact, it's all about your Color and Hex Color specifications. If you import with information from:
* *Color, Hex Color*\
We create a custom template in the tool, which contains the information from your specifications and take the missing information, such as scaling values and activated products, from your default template.
* *Color*\
We create a custom template in the tool, which contains the information from your specifications and take the missing information, such as Hex Color, scaling values and activated products, from your default template.
* *Hex Color*\
We create a custom template in the tool, which contains the information from your specifications and take all the colors, scaling values and activated products the default template.
* *None of the two was present*\
If you imported no information regarding Color or Hex Color, we assume that you want your default template to be applied.
## Check
Before you can upload, you should make sure that all data has been imported correctly. For Teepublic you should pay attention to the listing and the product settings.

### Product Settings
One of the most important checks you should do before uploading is to check if your specified template was assigned correctly, a proper custom template was created from the information of an old spreadsheet or if the settings from LazyCloud were transferred properly to the cloud template created in the tool.
To do this, we call up the Platform Product Settings via the [Shirt icon](/instruction/workspace#workspace-controls) and see the product table for each row in the workspace in the window that opens.
On the left we see the title and filename of the loaded listings in the workspace. Selected is the first design from the list, which has been assigned a custom template. Since our table file for testing was still an outdated Teepublic\_Old.xlsx file, a Custom Product Setting was created as expected.
If you are not satisfied with what has been assigned, you can now change it here. Either you make individual settings, such as selecting or deselecting products, or you click on the Select Template dropdown field and select a different Product Settings template.

A custom template is just a temporarily created template. It is not saved in your template settings and changes to the custom template only affect the selected design.

# Settings
Explanation of the setting options for Displate
After you have opened the [settings](/general-settings/settings) in the upload area of the tool, select Displate on the left of the Settings window.
### Trademark Blacklist

### Testmode
If this option is enabled, the upload stops before the template goes live. It is used so that you can manually press the publish button if you want to make sure the input is correct beforehand.
### Autoconverter Size
With this percentage value you can determine how much space your design should take on the Displate we create.
### Background Color
At this color picker you can select the background color of your generated Displate.
### Auto Alignment
If this option is activated, the whitespace of your design will be removed and the elements will be placed in the center of the generated Displate.
### Skip Longtail Tags
Displate does not allow longtail keywords. If this option is enabled, LazyMerch will remove the disallowed tags during the upload process.
### Stop With Too Few Tags
If there are now fewer tags than possible due to the Skip Longtail Tags steps, the upload process is paused so that you can manually add some and use the greatest possible potential.

To check if your Displate is generated correctly with the settings you have chosen, open the Image Conversion Preview. Click on the image icon in the upper right corner.
This will open the following window:
On the left we see the title and filename of the loaded listings in the workspace. Selected is the first design from the list. On top left of the window you can see the platform tabs. Make sure Displate is selected. On top right you can find a Save button to save the converted cover to your device.
What will be displayed to you within this window is pretty close to what your converted cover will look like when uploading.

# Settings
Explanation of the setting options for Society6
After you have opened the [settings](/general-settings/settings) in the upload area of the tool, select Society6 on the left of the Settings window.
### Product Settings
When you click on the Product Settings button, a window will open showing you Society6's products. You can activate them, deactivate them, set a size and the X and Y axis offset. With the Offset value you decide by how many pixels the design is moved in the direction of an Axe. You can orientate yourself like in a coordinate system, i.e. negative values are also possible.
#### Image Conversion for Society6
As you may have noticed at Society6, there are some products that require huge resolutions. Upscaling in images never ends well, so we fool S6 with images with larger resolutions, even though they still contain the 4500x5400px images that are common in POD.\
We assume your designs are 4500x5400px. If a resolution is smaller, the image is packed into the center of a 4500x5400px canvas and thus treated as the actual expected image. If it is larger, it is scaled smaller and also packed in the center of such a canvas.\
In our case, we can cover all products with the following sizes:
* 4500x5400px
* 7500x7500px
* 10.000x10.000px
* 15.000x15.000px
Now, for example, you choose the "Duffle Bag", which requires quite a high resolution and therefore would never have been able to be served with an average resolution needed for POD (it used to be 4500x5400px for MBA).\
To make this possible, we create a 15,000x15,000px canvas and place your 4500x5400px design in it. This way it is possible to bring the original image onto such products with almost no loss of quality - you just have to set the scaling value (i.e. how close S6 zooms your image onto the product) in the settings accordingly.\
If you want to see how your design size would look like on the converted images, you can use the [Image Previewer](/upload/society6/upload#image-conversion). In the Image Previewer you can also download the converted designs and then manually insert them into S6 to find out the optimal scaling value for you.

Choose which repeating pattern shall be used for your design. You can decide whether it will be repeated on all coasters or split into four coasters.

Under Input Language you can specify the language your listing is written in. This is important for the tool to be able to estimate if translation is needed for your chosen marketplace.

In the Description column you can insert your description. It's another great opportunity to use keywords related to your design's niche.
#### Tags
Under “Tags” you can type in keywords that describe your design. Please make sure, that you always use a comma ( , ) in between each keyword.
#### Color
Specify the colors to be uploaded during the upload. The color selection works on a first come first serve basis, which means that the first named colors for a product will be selected. If a color is not available for a product, it will be skipped.
#### Adults Only
This column requires a Boolean value which specifies, whether the design should only be available for adults or not. You can opt for YES by choosing “1” and NO by choosing “0”.
#### Products
In this column you can specify the product names you want to make your designs available for. Make sure that the spelling is the same as on the platform. You can also specify multiple product names separated by commas. If the field is left empty, the settings from the [Product Settings](/upload/society6/settings#product-settings) will be used.
#### Background Color
For some products on Society6 there is no option to choose the background color. However, LazyMerch allows you to add a background color to these products with the design. In this column you can specify a Hex Color value for it.
# Upload
Steps to start the upload for Society6
On this page we clarify some steps you should follow before your upload.
## Import
After you have made your [settings](/upload/society6/settings) and [preparations](/upload/society6/preparation), you can now start getting your data from your spreadsheet into the tool. Therefore use the [Import Forms](https://app.gitbook.com/s/VFJ5iMQ0u4gytJO7pufM/instruction/import-forms).
After you have successfully imported your data into the tool, it will look something like this, depending on your [user interface settings](https://app.gitbook.com/s/VFJ5iMQ0u4gytJO7pufM/general-settings/user-interface):
## Check
Before you can upload, you should make sure that all data has been imported correctly.
### Listing
Expand your Row and check if your listing was imported correctly.
In our example everything was imported successfully. If the language labels weren't green you could hover them to see what's wrong. Mostly this will tell you that a translation might be necessary.Yellow warnings do not stop you from starting the upload. The tool can also translate during the upload process. However, we recommend to perform all possible steps in the tool.
### Translation
If you want to translate before uploading, you can do this for each row individually by right-clicking on a row and selecting Translate, or if you want to translate all rows at once, you can click Select All in the Workspace Controls and then the Translation icon.
### Trademarks
If you want to check your trademarks in LazyMerch, it is recommended to do it after the translation. If you have activated the Initial Check, the TM button will already show you by color if the entries you imported contain trademarks or not. Furthermore, you should have checked if your trademark settings show the Nice classes you want.

### Image Conversion
To check if your image is generated correctly with the [settings](/upload/society6/settings#product-settings) you have chosen, open the Image Conversion Preview. Click on the image icon in the upper right corner.
This will open the following window:
On the left we see the title and filename of the loaded listings in the workspace. Selected is the first design from the list. On top left of the window you can see the platform tabs. Make sure Society6 is selected. On top right you can find a Save button to save the converted cover to your device. At the bottom center you can see the dropdown field to select the possible solutions for Society6.
What will be displayed to you within this window is pretty close to what your converted design will look like when uploading.
## Start
After you have conscientiously completed all the previous steps, the next step is the launch. You have the following options:
#### Upload a single or all selected designs
To upload a single design or several selected ones, select the desired quantity and right-click on one of the selected designs. In the right click options select "Upload selected".
#### Start upload for Society6 only
To start the upload for one platform only, in our case MBA, you can right-click on MBA in the collapsed platform navigation bar and select the Play button to start.

#### Start by Running All

# Settings
Explanation of the setting options for Zazzle
After you have opened the [settings](/general-settings/settings) in the upload area of the tool, select Zazzle on the left of the Settings window.
### Product Settings
When you click on the Product Settings button, a window will open showing you Zazzle's products. You can activate them, deactivate them and a set a department.
### Delay Settings
In this area you can select a minimum and maximum delay in milliseconds. Between these values, a random delay is chosen for each step to make the input look more human.
### Quote Longtail Tags
If this option is enabled, long tail keywords will be enclosed in quotes in your listing and inserted into Zazzle as one tag. If this were not enabled, every single word would be considered a tag.
### Adjust Audience
If this option is enabled, LazyMerch will take the Audience suggested by Zazzle.
# Preparation
Different ways how your listing comes into the tool
Without listing, no successful upload. Each platform has different requirements and needs. On this page we will show you how to make sure that your data and listings get into the tool reliably.
With Zazzle we have to distinguish between the Copy or Classic upload process. Although the required data for both processes are relatively the same, they and the table templates at hand differ a bit. The Copy Upload process uses a template you have created on Zazzle and copies its settings for the new uploads. In Classic Upload, each product and setting is selected individually.

We recommend the Copy Upload because it's faster, more reliable and less data is needed. Thus, preparing the listings by cloud or the copy spreadsheet is the best way to get things done.

## Cloud
The way we want to encourage you the most is to prepare your listings in our LazyCloud. Not only that you can write the listings there much easier and prepare them for upload, but also because you can edit them there better afterwards. # Settings
Explanation of the setting options for Printful
After you have opened the [settings](/general-settings/settings) in the upload area of the tool, select Printful on the left of the Settings window.
### Product Settings
When you click on the Product Settings button, a window will open showing you Printful's products. You can activate them, deactivate them, type in your the desired mockup name and prices.

Be aware that on printful only one product can be uploaded per upload process. So if multiple products are selected, an upload process for one design will be started several times.

### How to choose a Mockup
Unfortunately Printful changed the way they previously displayed Mockup names. Thus, it wasn't possible to simply type in the name of the mockup into the product settings column "Mockup Image Name" anymore.
What you have to do now is the following:
1. Right-click the small image of your desired mockup on the left side of the mockup selection.
2. Choose the inspecting option to open the source code of your desired mockup elemenent.
3. This opens your browser's developer-console and highlights your element to be inspected.
4. There, you check the highlighted \
element that contains the background-image URL. Within this URL you can copy the unique filename of this mockup, ending with .png.

5. If you copied the unique file name of your desired mockup, you can put this in the "Mockup Image Name" column of your Product Settings.
### Trademark Blacklist
This button will take you to the blacklist of Printful. It is designed to enter words that you want LazyMerch to warn you about. If you want to learn more about the blacklist, click here.
### Stocked In
Choose where your products that will be published will be stored.
### Embroidery Color
Choose whether the embroidery color should be black or white.
### Mockup Format
Choose whether the mockup format should be png or jpg.
### Prices
Under Prices you have some options how the tool should handle the prices. These refer to the same settings that can be found on Printful.
### Free Shipping
Check this option if you want LazyMerch to enable Free Shipping on Printful.
### Stock Quantity
Enter the number of existing pieces or which number should be displayed.
### Description Language
In this dropdown field you can choose in which language your description should be.
### Printing Technique
Here you can select the printing technique, if it is available on your product. You can choose between DTG printing and embroidery.
### Sizing Table
In the Sizing Table option, you can decide whether to add a Size Guide or not. Furthermore, you can decide whether the size guide is displayed in the imperial or metric system.

If you want to translate before uploading, you can do this for each row individually by right-clicking on a row and selecting Translate, or if you want to translate all rows at once, you can click Select All in the Workspace Controls and then the Translation icon.
### Trademarks
If you want to check your trademarks in LazyMerch, it is recommended to do it after the translation. If you have activated the Initial Check, the TM button will already show you by color if the entries you imported contain trademarks or not. Furthermore, you should have checked if your trademark settings show the Nice classes you want.

## Start
After you have conscientiously completed all the previous steps, the next step is the launch. You have the following options:
#### Upload a single or all selected designs
To upload a single design or several selected ones, select the desired quantity and right-click on one of the selected designs. In the right click options select "Upload selected".
#### Start upload for Teespring only
To start the upload for one platform only, in our case MBA, you can right-click on MBA in the collapsed platform navigation bar and select the Play button to start.

#### Start by Running All
If you click the Run All button at the top right of the workspace, all platforms in which you have loaded listings will start. There is also a [Run Sequenced](/instruction/workspace#run-all-button) option that allows you to control how many platforms can run at the same time.

# Settings
Explanation of the setting options for Shirtee
After you have opened the [settings](/general-settings/settings) in the upload area of the tool, select MBA on the left of the Settings window.
### Product Settings
When you click on the Product Settings button, a window will open showing you Shirtee's products. You can activate them, deactivate them, set a price and their selector ID from Shirtee. The selector is usually provided by LazyMerch but if you want to manually add products here, you might need to add a selector as well.

The product settings are from previous generations of our tool. They still work, but are only used when uploading without a Shirtee template name. We recommend you to create a product template on Shirtee and import your designs with this template name in the table sheet. This way the template products from shirtee is used instead of the product settings in LazyMerch.

### Trademark Blacklist
This button will take you to the blacklist of Shirtee. It is designed to enter words that you want LazyMerch to warn you about. If you want to learn more about the blacklist, click here.
### Advanced Settings
This drop-down box gives you the option to select some advanced settings for the upload. On Shirtee there is an option with the same name.
### Auto Login and Relog
In the Auto Login and Relog section you can enter your login data to Shirtee, so that the tool can log you in automatically if you are logged out. You don't have to enter your data here and can enter it yourself in the browser when you start the upload. However, if you don't enter them, LazyMerch may not be able to continue during the upload if a relog is necessary. If you do enter them, be assured that the data is in good hands, as it will be backed up locally on your device and will not be transmitted to us or anyone else at any time.
### Clear Image History
On Shirtee, all your uploaded designs are saved in the product design screen for future access. If Clear Image History is enabled, the old designs will be removed from this history.
### Move Image
This pixel value moves your design along the Y axis. Positive values make the design move up the product after upload, negative values make it move down.
### Copy And Paste Tags
If activated, your tags will be inserted all at once so that it only counts as one tag.
# Preparation
Different ways how your listing comes into the tool
Without listing, no successful upload. Each platform has different requirements and needs. On this page we will show you how to make sure that your data and listings get into the tool reliably.
## Cloud
The way we want to encourage you the most is to prepare your listings in our LazyCloud. Not only that you can write the listings there much easier and prepare them for upload, but also because you can edit them there better afterwards. More information about the LazyCloud can be found here and the documentation of the cloud, where this preparation process is described, can be found here.

## Spreadsheet
To prepare your data with tables, you need our table file templates. You can find them by clicking on the Excel Templates button in the lower right corner of the tool's workspace.
This button will take you to the folder where you can find the templates. In it you will find the ShirteeTemplate.xlsx.

Do not modify these template files, but copy them to another path and start editing there. This folder in the LazyMerch installation directory should remain untouched, so that none of your important data is lost during an update.

### ShirteeTemplate.xlsx
#### Design Path
This column is designed to get the paths to your designs. Get the path to one or more designs and paste it here. Paths also include links to a cloud service where your designs are stored. However, make sure that the link goes directly to the image file without requiring authentication.

On windows there is an easy way to fill in your spreadsheet with the data path of your designs. Simply select the design you would like to upload first while holding shift and right click.
Afterwards, select “copy as path” to safe the files to the clipboard. You can now hold CTRL+V to transfer them to your spreadsheet in the column “DesignPath”.

#### Title
Give us a catchy title for your design. The title is a necessary input.
#### Input Language
Under Input Language you can specify the language your listing is written in. This is important for the tool to be able to estimate if translation is needed for your chosen marketplace.
#### Description
In the Description column you can insert your description. It's another great opportunity to use keywords related to your design's niche.
#### Description Template
Shirtee provides general description templates that can be added to your design specific description. Here you can specify which description template to add. If you leave this field empty, your listing will only consist of your specified design-specific description.
#### Shop
If you want your design to appear in your own Shirtee store, you can enter the name of your store here.
#### Category
In this column you can specify the category. Make sure that the category is written exactly as it is on Shirtee.
#### Marketplace
Specify here the marketplace where the design should be uploaded. You can also specify multiple marketplaces and separate them with a comma. A row will then be created in the tool for each marketplace.
#### Tags
Under “Tags” you can type in keywords that describe your design. Please make sure, that you always use a comma ( , ) in between each keyword.
#### Product Color
Specify the colors to be uploaded during the upload. The color selection works on a first come first serve basis, which means that the first named colors for a product will be selected. If a color is not available for a product, it will be skipped.
#### Default Product ID
Here you can specify a product ID, which will then be shown as the default display product on the marketplace.
#### Template
If you have created a template on Shirtee, you can enter the name of that template here. When uploading, the products from your template will be used. If you leave this field empty, the products from your [product settings](/upload/shirtee/settings#product-settings) will be used.
# Upload
Steps to start the upload for Shirtee
On this page we clarify some steps you should follow before your upload.
## Import
After you have made your [settings](/upload/shirtee/settings) and [preparations](/upload/shirtee/preparation), you can now start getting your data from your spreadsheet into the tool. Therefore use the [Import Forms](https://app.gitbook.com/s/VFJ5iMQ0u4gytJO7pufM/instruction/import-forms).
After you have successfully imported your data into the tool, it will look something like this, depending on your [user interface settings](https://app.gitbook.com/s/VFJ5iMQ0u4gytJO7pufM/general-settings/user-interface):
## Check
Before you can upload, you should make sure that all data has been imported correctly.
### Listing
Expand your Row and check if your listing was imported correctly.
In our example everything was imported successfully. If the language labels weren't green you could hover them to see what's wrong. Mostly this will tell you that a translation might be necessary.Yellow warnings do not stop you from starting the upload. The tool can also translate during the upload process. However, we recommend to perform all possible steps in the tool.
### Translation
If you want to translate before uploading, you can do this for each row individually by right-clicking on a row and selecting Translate, or if you want to translate all rows at once, you can click Select All in the Workspace Controls and then the Translation icon.
### Trademarks
If you want to check your trademarks in LazyMerch, it is recommended to do it after the translation. # Trademark-Check
Explanation of how to efficiently use the trademark checks offered by LazyMerch.
In LazyMerch there two ways to check your listings for registered and pending trademarks. On the one hand there is an extra trademark checker tool which is integrated in LazyMerch and on the other hand you can test your entered or imported listings directly in the workspace of LazyMerch.
### Trademark Checker Tool
With the Trademark Checker Tool you can test any words and phrases that are independent from the loaded listings in the workspace. To do this, click on “Tools” in the toolbar and select “Trademark Checker” or just simply press CTRL+T when being on your workspace. This opens a new window with an input field. There you can enter the words and phrases you want to check.
After you clicked on "Trademark Checker" in tools or used the Shortcut to open it, you'll see the following window.
In the upper input field you can now insert words, sentences or complete listings. By a click on the "Check Trademarks" button, they are checked for trademarks.
Found entries will appear in the table below. By clicking on the Serial Number of an entry you will be forwarded to the corresponding entry of the respective patent and trademark office.
In the upper left corner of the trademark checker tool you can select which Nice Classification Classes and which regions should be checked. To select the trademark territory simply click the dropdown field and choose your preferred region. To define for which Nice classes the TM-Checker tool should search, click on the gear icon and tick classes on and off.
### Listing Checker
Another way to check trademarks is to check a specific listing in the workspace of LazyMerch. In the settings of LazyMerch you can define that this TM check should be done initially when importing listings. Manually you can start this check again by clicking the TM icon of the corresponding listing.
This will open a window that shows you the found trademarks of your listing for the regions a listing was available in the proper language. The colored letters of the trademark checker tool signalize if there are found trademarks or not. If the tabs are green, it means that nothing was found. If they are red, the region could not be checked or the user has disabled the check for this region.
# Image Conversion
Clarification about the image conversion options in the tool
The problem is quite clear: many platforms have different requirements regarding the resolution of designs, but not everyone wants to spend the time to bring their designs into all the different formats.
For this reason, LazyMerch can convert your designs to different resolutions. This is especially relevant for platforms like [MBA](/upload/merch-by-amazon), [KDP](/upload/kindle-direct-publishing), [Displate](/upload/displate) or [Society6](/upload/society6).
The conversion is done during the upload process but you can take a look at the final product in advance to tweak your settings or check if the converted design meets your expectations. To do that, follow these steps:
### Open the converter preview
Once you have imported designs into the workspace, you can click on the Design Area Tools image icon for those platforms.
After you click it, the following window will open:
### Select the desired Platform
At the top of the window you can switch between the platforms on which designs were imported. These can also be different designs. For example, the MBA entries do not have to match the Displate entries.
### Select the image to display
On the left side of the window you will see the titles and file names of the imported entries. So you can choose for which design you want to see the preview.
### Choose the product
At the bottom of the window you can select the product you want to be displayed. For MBA and Society6 there are several product variants we can convert to.
### Customize the display options
Your design is hard to see? No problem, you can easily change the color to display your design better on the background.
You can find these settings in the bottom right of the window:

Note that these display options do not change your settings. The display color applies only to the Image Previewer. You have to choose the correct color in the settings of each platform.

### Save the converted design
This is not a necessary step for uploading, but if you prefer to save files locally, you can press the Save button in the upper right corner of the Image Previewer window.
# Export
Showing the export function
Where data is imported, it should also be possible to export it again. Whenever and on whatever platform you have loaded Rows, you can press the Export as CSV button at the bottom right of the [Bottom Bar](/instruction/workspace#bottom-bar).
This is convenient if you make changes in the tool but want to upload the entries at a later time. Because the CSV files can be imported again for the selected platform.
# Custom Excel Import
Introduction to the limitless import function with Custom Excel Import
With our Custom Excel Import feature you can use all tables for import to LazyMerch. For example, if you have your own tables that you have created individually for your workflow and write your listings in them. With the Custom Excel Import feature there are almost no limits. It also makes it easier for you to switch to LazyMerch if you already have Excel templates from your work with other tools.
## Settings
To ensure a problem-free import, a few settings must be made. You will also learn how powerful this feature can be. You can find the settings under the [Import item in the toolbar](/instruction/workspace#toolbar):
By clicking on “Settings Custom Excel” you will get to the window where you can specify your custom Excel tables.
### Selected Template
* **Template Dropdown** - choose from existing template settings
* **Add Icon** - create new templates by clicking on the + icon. When creating new templates you can also copy the settings from existing templates
* **Edit** - edit the name of the selected template setting
* **Delete** - delete the selected template

This way you can create several templates for different needs, which is especially useful if you have filled the fields with cloze texts, but then need to change to a cloze text in another language.

### Single Column
When specifying a single column name between two curly brackets, you can refer to the contents of a single column in the table. When importing to LazyMerch, the cell entries from this column would now be loaded into the tool here.
### Compound Columns
You can merge the values of several cells, so that you get a Description from several column entries for example. Furthermore, you can insert text in the Custom Excel Import Settings to build templates for cloze texts. This is shown in the following screenshot.
### Text Information
It is not mandatory that every value to be imported comes from an Excel table. If you know in advance that you prefer to always upload with a specific color, you can specify this value textually directly in the settings, as marked in the following screenshot.
## Import
After you have made your settings and are ready to import, follow the steps described [here](/instruction/import-forms#custom-import-form) to get your data into the tool.
# DeepL API Key
Explanation how to use the translation service
With the DeepL API Key feature you can use your own key from an existing DeepL Pro subscription or use the key code from your Free Account. Here we show you how to get your key and where to insert it into LazyMerch.
### Create Your DeepL Account
If you don’t have a DeepL Free Account yet, you can get one [here](https://www.deepl.com/pro#developer).
After the account has been created or you are already logged in to an existing account, go to and look for your API Key when scrolling down a bit. You can copy and paste it in the tool under Settings in the tab “General” in the “Translation” area.
### Enter The API Key
The API key can be entered in the [Settings](/general-settings/settings#deepl-api-key) of LazyMerch.

Make sure you have selected the correct service in the drop-down box above. Here you can distinguish between the translation characters included in the LazyMerch subscription, the DeepL Free subscription or the DeepL Pro subscription.

### Integration Check
If the integration worked and you saved the settings, you should now see the correct number of your translation characters in the [bottom bar](/instruction/workspace#bottom-bar) of the workspace.
# Add Products
Showing you how to manually add products into the tools product settings list
Sometimes you may be looking for a specific product, but it is not available in the product settings for the desired platform. We also have to enter new products into the tool and unfortunately don't always notice immediately when a new product appears on a marketplace.
That's why you can independently create a product in the tool to upload already for this.

As an example, we show the addition of products at Society6 here. However, changing the .xml files works the same for all platforms in the tool.

First, we look into the [Product Settings of the desired platform](/upload/society6/settings#product-settings) and check if our product is already there. This can be done using the search bar in the Product Settings window.
The data for the Product Settings Window comes from so-called .xml files. You can find them in the installation folder of LazyMerch:
`LazyMerch --> ProductSettings --> Society6Selection_Default.xml`
Open the .xml file with a text editor or a code editor of your choice.
After you open it, you will see the contents of the file. It should look something like this:
If you look closely, you'll probably also notice the pattern in which the tags were strung together.
Each product starts with a \ opening tag and ends with a \ closing tag.
The name of the product can be found between \\.
The resolution given between \\ is the expected image size for this product. This becomes relevant when it comes to your original file and the question if it's enough to be placed on your desired product. Let's say the product suggests using files of 6800x9900px and won't accept your default 4500x5400px files you're using for pod, then the best option will be 10000x10000px to choose here in the .xml file. This tells LazyMerch to create a new image with a resolution of 10000x10000px and place whatever file you give it in the center of it. You can read more about this process [here](/upload/society6/settings#product-settings).
\\ refer to the checkbox of the product settings data table and tells the tool if you want to enable or disable the product.
#### Add a new product to your .xml file
And this is how it works. Mark a product from the pattern.
Copy and paste it wherever you want as long as it doesn't replace some of the other products and also is in between the \\ tags.
After you pasted it, change the name to the product's name and edit the other values.
Save the changes in the .xml file and restart the application. As soon as you restarted it and visit the product settings of Society6, they should look like this:
# Occasional Errors
Possible errors that may occasionally occur
## First Steps for Self-Help
Before we get to individual possible errors, we briefly explain what we mean by general errors or platform-specific errors. This will help you to make an initial assessment of the area you need to look in, and may also give you an idea of what the problem might be, which in turn could be helpful when writing your [ticket](/troubleshooting/tickets) to us.

This is intended to help you orientate yourself a little better on this page and to know whether you should rather browse through general errors or jump straight to the platform in the contents list.
### Cache Reset
Especially for platform specific problems the cache reset is always a good first approach. This clears all browser data and ensures that none of this data prevents the tool from instructing the browser.
To do this, right-click on one of the affected platforms in the workspace (CTRL+click on Mac) and select "Reset Cache".
## General Errors
### Cannot Log In
#### Wrong Timestamp
Sometimes it can happen that you get a Wrong Timestamp Error and therefore cannot log in. Check the time setting on your computer and make sure it is correct for your region. If it is already correct, turn the automatic time detection off and on again.
#### Incorrect Login Data
The error occurs if you use wrong login data. Make sure that you use the same login details that you need to access your account on the website.

Some special characters can unfortunately also lead to this error. In this case, change your password and do not use special characters. We are working on fixing the error.

### Browser Does Not Open
If you try to start an upload and the browser does not open, the tool probably cannot reach the Chromium Driver. Check the following things:
* Is a Chromium process already running?\
Open your system's Task Manager and check if there is already a Chromium Driver process active. If so, terminate it and try to start the upload again.
* Restart Your Computer\
This terminates all running processes and ensures that after a restart no process is running that could get in the way of the tool.
* Check if your antivirus program has quarantined a file from LazyMerch\
If so, remove it from quarantine and at best add it to your whitelist.
### Authorization Failed
The upload can't be started because there's a translation needed and you provided the wrong [DeepL API key](/general-settings/settings#deepl-api-key) or chose the wrong option of the [translation dropdown setting](/general-settings/settings#translation-service-to-use).
## Merch By Amazon
### Designs are not displayed
From time to time, your uploaded designs may no longer be displayed on the products. In this case, a [cache reset](#undefined) should fix the problem.

If you have any problems or questions, you can always contact us. However, in order to reduce our support effort, we ask you to take a look at the [occasional errors](/troubleshooting/occasional-errors) first and see if you can fix it yourself. **Send us the logs**
When running the tool, log files are created that record certain steps. There are the system logs, which only refer to the tool and system processes, and the upload logs, which only record the steps of the upload process to a platform. If you experience problems during an upload process, the upload log of the affected platform is usually sufficient. In case of doubt, however, it does not hurt to send both logs.\
Please do not send screenshots of the Log Console in the tool. This only gives us a snapshot. We need the full log files to be able to follow up on several clues over the duration of the whole upload.\
